Pro-Environment Vehicle Duties

Brunei Darussalam has delivered an environment-friendly amendment to the 2006 Excise Act by slashing duties on all hybrid cars and increasing duties on all diesel vehicles.
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented for the 2006 Excise Act to be amended and this will take effect from April 1, 2011, the Ministry of Finance announced yesterday.
