Income Tax Incentive For Returning Malaysian Professionals

KUALA LUMPUR: As an incentive to lure them from abroad, returning Malaysian professionals are now eligible for a flat rate of 15 per cent income tax for five years, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced yesterday.

The Prime Minister hoped the new transitional income tax incentive and other changes would encourage more Malaysians working abroad, with their varied experience and expertise, to return and play an active part in the country’s economic transformation.
