Najib Razak, Malaysia’s prime minister, is taking his country’s foreign relations to a new height as he flies into London today after a two-day visit to Turkmenistan. During his four-day visit, he is expected to pep up old ties with Britain with agreements on trade, education, defence and fighting crime. And on July 18, he is expected to announce diplomatic ties with the Vatican when he meets Pope Benedict XVI at his summer home in Castel Gandolfo, south of Rome.
