In light of the findings of radioactive contamination in food from Japan, including processed food, agricultural products, as well as fresh seafood, the Ministry of Health with the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources has put a temporary ban on all imported Japanese food that comes from the radiation affected areas of Japan.
